Shipping & Return Policy

Shipping & Returns

Note: Certain sales contracts may have their own, specialized, shipping and return policies. Please refer to those particular contracts for details, which may take precedence over the terms listed below.

Shipping Policy

DDI Online Store purchases are strictly U.S. shipments only. This includes the 48 contiguous states of the United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. For non-contiguous territories, international shipping rates may apply. Please contact us for shipping rates to Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico. All orders and deliveries are subject to the chosen carriers' terms and conditions. For all other destinations, please give us a call.

General Terms

  1. All past due balances will be charged 1.5% per month (18% per annum) in addition to all costs associated with collection proceedings.
  2. All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
  3. A $25 (USD) fee will be charged on any returned checks.
  4. All returns without a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is subject to rejection.
  5. All claims must be made within 30 days of delivery date
  6. All returns for non-DDI merchandise must be returned in like-new condition with original packaging and documentation, accessories, etc. or are subject to rejection.
  7. All clames for shortage, damage, or shipment errors must be made within 7 days of delivery date
For your convenience, the above general terms are shown on your sales invoice. At the sole discretion of DDI, any of the terms and conditions mentioned in this document may be waived based on special circumstances, situations.

Returns Must Meet ALL Applicable Criteria

  • If your returned product does not match all applicable criteria listed below, it will be rejected by our warehouse and returned to you. Consequently, your RMA will be nullified and any credit request will be denied and any replacement order will be cancelled. Our arrangements with our suppliers and manufactuers allow us no room to make exceptions.
  • If a return is requested due to an error or damage, DDI will pay for ground shipment only. If you return your product via a faster, more expensive shipper, you incur the expenses yourself and any request for reimbursement will be denied.

Returns Must be Complete

  • If your return is not complete, it will be rejected by our warehouse and returned back to you.
  • All returns must include the following:
    1. Original packaging (manufacturer's box, styrofoam, plastic bags, etc.)
    2. Original intact UPC barcode. Do not cut out the UPC code (for rebates) until you have examined and tested the product to your satisfaction. Removal of the UPC code voids any possibility of return regardless of RMA or credit request status.
    3. Valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). See RMA Conditions, below.
    4. Original packing slip. Do not mail or dispose of the packing slip (for rebates) until you have examined and tested the product to your satisfaction.
    5. All accessories (transformers, antennas, remote controls, batteries, software disks, etc.)
    6. Manufacturer documentation (manuals, warranty cards, registration information, etc.)
    7. The RMA number must not be written on the original manufacturer's packaging or box. Please write the RMA number on the label used to return the item or the brown shipping box. Items received with any writing on the original manufacturer's packaging or box will be refused and returned to you without credit approval.

Basic Return Policy

  • If you are ineligible for an RMA, contact the manufacturer directly or check any applicable warranty you might have. See the Manufacturer Contact List at the bottom of this page.
  • If you are returning a non-defective product, you must pay return shipping fees.
  • Many of the items we sell have Special Return Policies. See the appropriate policy below to see if items you purchase are affected.

Return for Credit

All non-defective items being returned for credit are subject to a 15% restocking fee unless otherwise noted. Additionally, all returned items are subject to the returns policies mentioned within this agreement.

Return for Exchange

All items being returned for exchange are subject to availability. If an item is not available, an alternate item of equal or greater value and/or feature(s) will be offered prior to the exchange. Should the replacement not be desired, a credit will be issued. All returned items are subject to the returns policies mentioned within this agreement.


Special Return Policy


Manufacturer Only Returns

Under certain cirumstance, DDI may ask that you contact to manufacturer directly to expedite the return proccess. These items are to be returned or exchanged directly with the manufacturer and subject to their terms and conditions. Please be prepared to provide the manufacturer with the following information: Date of purchase, Serial number, manufacturer part number. NO REFUNDS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THESE ITEMS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. THESE ITEMS CAN ONLY BE RETURNED FOR REPAIR OR EXCHANGE.

Replacement Only Items

The following products if opened, may be returned for a replacement item only: Software, media and consumables such as ink or toner. After delivery, contact the manufacturer directly or check any applicable warranty you might have.

Printers and Fax Machines

Laser and inkjet printers and fax machines may be returned for a credit only if unopened. If opened, they may only be returned for a replacement item and not for a credit. Remove all ink/toner cartridges before returning products. Failure to remove cartridges might cause the products to be damaged during return, nullifying your RMA and causing your replacement order to be cancelled.

RMA Conditions

  • Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) must be valid, unexpired, and issued for the product being returned.
  • If you are returning a non-defective product, you must pay return shipping fees.
  • In some cases, we will issue a "call tag" and the shipper will come to you to pick up the product. In most cases, we will not and you will be responsible for returning the product via an authorized facility such as a Post Office or a UPS facility.
  • Products being returned must be properly packaged for shipping. DDI is not responsible for damaged items due to inadequate or improper packaging. Should you require packaging materials, you may contact us to request such materials for a nominal fee.
  • After the Return is Received at the Warehouse

    Please allow up to 14 days for your return to be shipped to our warehouse, depending on the shipper. Please also allow approximately 3 days to process your return after it has arrived at our warehouse. Depending on the applicable policies above, you can request either a credit or a replacement when you return your product. If you request a credit, your original method of payment will be credited as soon as possible after your return is processed and approved. If you request a replacement product, your replacement order will be sent to fulfillment once your return is processed and approved. How quickly your replacement product ships after that depends on product availability.

    Cross Shipments

    Under most circumstances, we cannot ship your replacement order before we receive your return. If you need a replacement sooner than the timeline outlined above, please place a new order on the website, independent of the returns process.
